♦ be electcd to such representalive bodies, as well as to municipal committees, (passive voting right);

♦ vote for mayor or county commissioner (active voting right);

♦ be elected mayor or county commissioner (passive voting right).

There are no further conditions attached to the right to vote. All eligible voters registered in a Rheinland-Pfalz municipality appear on the electoral register issued by die municipal authorities and will rcceive an clection notification in good time (approximately four weeks before the election).

As a resident of a municipality in Rheinland-Pfalz you already enjoyed the following legal rights (llke all otlicr German and foreign residents):

♦ to participate in local residents’ meetings, during which the municipal administration informs on important matters and opens tliem to discussion;

♦ to question municipal representatives at public meetings and to put forward proposals to the municipal administration and ils representatives;

♦ to submit, together with other residents who are at least 16 years of age, a residents’ request that the representative municipal body deliberate and come to a dccision with regard to a specific self-admiuistrative matter.

In addition, you may now vote with other citizens on specific matters. Such a decision arrived at by populär vote may be made under certain conditions, provided that an admissible citizens’ initiative, in which you may also participate, has been previously completed.

Antragsvordrucke können bei der Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung ange­fordert, müssen aber bis spätestens Mittwoch. 07.04.1999, wieder bei der Kreisverwaltung bzw. Bezirksregierung abgegeben werden!

Der beim Mons-Tabor-Bad eingesetzte Rasentraktor wird gegen Gebot zum Verkauf angeboten.

Bei diesem Gerät handelt es sich um einen
